Ingvild and Amund's wedding
Ingvild and I first met in 2008. Little did we knew that 18/08/2012 would be an absolutely magical celebration in traditional and beautiful surroundings in Noresund. Surrounded by family and our best friends, the Wedding Village truly delivered all of our dreams of the perfect wedding. We want to recommend Odd Alsvik to the heavens and beyond. To find a wedding planner of his level will have you searching for a long time! Thank you for giving us our picture perfect wedding.
Noresund - Meeting in the middle
Since we live in Oslo, Noresund was not a natural first choice for us. We traveled all over Oslo looking for the perfect wedding venue, but it was only when we got to Noresund that we knew immediately that this is where we were going to get married. And since Ingvild is from Nesbyen, I'm from Nøtterøy and we live in Oslo, this was a perfect "meeting in the middle" point for friends and family. The mountains in the background gave Ingvild the feeling of home and Krøderen appealed to my childhood with the water element of the fjord. Noresund was simply perfect for our wedding.
I (the groom) and my maid of honor, best friend and brother, Jostein, traveled up one day in advance to take a final check on all the preparations with Odd, our host at Sole Hotel. The sun shone from a clear sky that Friday, and the village seemed charged for a celebration. When the guests arrived on Saturday morning, changes in the weather that night made the air heavy, and a thick layer of clouds covered Noresund. The first raindrops carefuly announced their arrival, knowing that they were undesirable later in the day.
A soft man
The bride herself arrived first by car from Oslo just before the ceremony. To describe my feelings as the doors opened is meaningless, because no one has invented words to cover the spectrum of emotions you feel. I can only say that even the hardest man melts completely and is subjectively perceived as if he is the world's biggest pussycat when the tears start to fall.
Tenor in church
We had a ceremony in Olberg Church that was everything we could imagine. With tenor, Arild Rønsen, at the piano with a voice like Josh Groban, we enjoyed a wonderful version of "When You Say You Love Me." He also gave us the perfect end to our ceremony with a wonderful rendition of "Wedding March from Lødingen."
Bridal Procession on Krøderfjorden
Champagne was flowing out on the church steps, and costume-clad guests toasted with us. With the bride's sister playing the trumpet and her father-in-law dressed in Halling Bunad at the oars, we had an unforgettable bridal procession on Krøderfjorden. This was a very special experience that really gave us time to savor the impressions from the wedding day's first act. The calm on the water also contributed to a pretty magical setting for the photos we had afterwards.
The bride and groom at the round table
With 70 guests at the round table in the main hall at Sole, it was a bit of a party. Courtesy, quality and perfection are words that describe our experience at dinner. We could just relax and enjoy - Odd and his team had complete control over everything. The view of Krøderfjorden through the large windows in the parlor added to the enchanting atmosphere. With speeches and entertainment, the celebration was at its peak. A bridal waltz by the Hellbillies song "The Finasteride Eg Veit" topped off the whole experience in these wonderful surroundings by Norefjell.
In the morning, those who hadn't gone to bed yet, and those who had just woken up met with a night/morning bath in the fjord. A great country breakfast afterwards was the icing on the cake to our incredible wedding.
