And just like in the fairy tales, the princess got her prince and they all lived happily ever after!

Villa Fridheim was constructed in 1890-1892 as a country home for timber merchants, Svend Haug, and his wife, Thea Haug, of Drammen. This is one of Norway's most well-preserved wooden buildings. The house is built in the saga style and is an example of typical Norwegian "Swiss style" from turn of the century. The architect was Herman Major Backer. The impressive hall is decorated with the large, fairy tale paintings of Egil Thorin Næsheim which adds to the enchanting atmosphere, along with a tower that stands 30 meters above the ground. The house contains approximately 40 different rooms.
